We advise everyone to get regular checkups done from a dentist to maintain oral health. These checkups allow our experts to get an up-close and in-person look at your teeth. Dental issues can arise over time and preiodic / regular checkups give us the chance to detect and prevent these issues before they become more serious.
At Basswood Family Dental, a regular dental checkup includes a full examination, professional cleaning, an oral cancer screening and if necessary, X-rays etc.

The tooth crown procedure occurs in two separate visits. In the first visit, we examine your tooth, take an impression and fit the portion with a temporary crown. Within a dental lab a custom crown is prepared for your tooth. Once we've received the dental crown, we'll ask to visit our office for a second visit where we remove the temporary crown and fit and place the permanent one.
At Basswood Family Dental, we offer dentures that are effective and natural-looking than ever before. High-quality dentures from BFD, allow you to have a complete set of teeth that not only appear healthy and natural but also restore the function of natural teeth. We provide the following types of dentures:
Removable Dentures: they rely on suction and gripping to remain in place. Since there are no dental implants with this method, no oral surgery is needed. These are removable dentures and can be easily cleaned outside the mouth.
Fixed Dentures: remain steady and secure at all times through the use of dental implants. Once installed and applied, fixed dentures cannot be removed except through oral surgery.
If you have a missing tooth or teeth that need to be extracted/replaced, dental implant is the right choice for you. We won't recommend a better and long-lasting tooth replacement option than dental implants. Implants are small, screw-shaped titanium posts which are used to replace the roots of missing teeth. They are covered by porcelain crowns that look and feel just like your old tooth.
